Nessie was getting further along in her pregnancy and she still hadn't figured out how to tell her family about it. She knew that even if she didn't tell them herself, they would eventually figure it out, if they hadn't already.
As her due date approached, Nessie was really starting to consider Journey's suggestion of just telling them without planning it. But as much as she was considering it, she kept telling herself that timing was everything.
All of this thinking and stressing was starting to get to Nessie, and since she knew that stressing wasn't good for her or the baby, she decided to go outside and get some fresh air, and since she was staying with her parents at their cottage, getting fresh air was actually pretty easy.
After making sure that no one was around, Nessie walked towards the river and after taking her shoes off, she sat down and out her feet in the cool water.

Today the comfy look was "in" in the world of Emily Cullen. She wore her olive green sweat pants with the bungee band at the end that she rolled up to just below her knee. Her blonde ringlets bounced at her shoulders as she walked through the living room and out the door of the Cullen house. Emily made her way through the winding trees and to the river. Now why would she go to the river? Well it was a sunny morning and by the river was were Emily found the best place to sit in the sun and attempt to catch and release fish.
Em's skin sparkled in the spots of sunlight she walked through, and she caught sight of Nessie sitting by the river. Emily, without hesitance made her way to her cousin with a smile on her face. Nessie had been looking well... fatter lately. Everyone assumed she was pregnant but it was under the don't ask, don't tell policy at the moment. "Hey Ness." Emily's voice rang as she took a seat next to her cousin. The sun bounced off onto her legs as she kicked the water lightly.

"Hey Em." Nessie said with a smile as she looked at her cousin.
"What have you been up to lately?" she asked as she ticked her feet back and forth in the water.

The water didn't splash from Emily's movements, only move in ripples that moved away from her body. Her cousin's words registered in her mind and and Emily just shrugged. "This." She said smoothly, her eyes leaving her sparkling legs to look over a Nessie. Emily looked away quickly and but her lip, not sure of what to say. Did she say anything about her cousin having a baby? Emily didn't know how she personally felt about that. She was jealous that her cousin could have a child naturally and yet, Emily didn't want to have Journey change her body for her so that she could have a child. That just didn't seem right to her. Emily mentally concluded that she would say nothing about it. "How are things with you and Jacob?" She asked enthusiastically. Emily really did enjoy their stories because she found it actually kind of cute.

"We're doing good. I'm sure you've noticed that I've been getting bigger... well to tell you the truth I'm pregnant... with a baby girl." Nessie said with a smile.

"We're doing good. I'm sure you've noticed that I've been getting bigger... well to tell you the truth I'm pregnant... with a baby girl." When Nessie spoke this Emily's face lit up. I knew it! She though at she wrapped her arms around Nessie. "Aw! I'm so happy for you guys!" Her words were soft and enthusiastic as she spoke. "What are you going to name her? When are you due? Oh my gosh I'm so happy for you!" She rambled but stopped after realizing how hard she was kicking the water now. Emily pulled her legs up and crossed them to prevent the problem again.

"I'm due really soon, it's been about 2 months so far, but at the rate that she is growing, she might have a odd growing thing going on like i did. But it will be soon. And Jacob and I haven't discussed names yet. We decided to wait until she was born to name her. You know, see what she looks like and then give her a name." Nessie said with a smile.
"I hope she looks more like Jacob, but he keeps saying that he wants her to look more like me, but I know that he wouldn't like that very much. As much as he loves me, he still doesn't like the family very much and would prefer that she doesn't look too much like our family. Which is very weird if you ask me." she said as she rubbed her belly.
"Oh, she kicking." she said as her face lit up. "Do you wanna feel?" she asked her cousin.

She seemed totally fine with having a baby. But if she was fine with it, why hasn't she told anyone? So many questions formed in Emily's head and it was a matter of timing what to say, and how to say it.
"Oh, she kicking." she said as her face lit up. "Do you wanna feel?" The look on her cousins face made Emily even more lit up then she was before. Did she want to feel it kicking? Well yeah! But despite her good intentions, Emily could get somewhat ruff unintentionally. "I would but I don't want to accidentally push down to hard and hurt you or your baby." Emily shifted to face more toward her cousin. "Wait. If the baby is a hybrid and a werewolf. What would you call that? Oh! Sorry, that was supposed to be... not spoken."

"It's okay Em. I'm not sure what she would be called. I have to ask Grandpa Carlisle about that." Emily nodded as she listened again. She founded it kind of funny hearing grandpa Carlisle. Emily was one of the Cullen's that called everyone by their first name all the time, well except for her parents and even that whole mom and dad deal was somewhat rare. It was just easier in her opinion to just go by a first name basis.
"And you won't hurt her or me if feel her kicking. But there is also the possibility that I touch you to show you what I feel when she kicks..." Emily's head tilted to the side and she bit her lip lightly. Nessie was serious about this. Her hand lifted and set as light a possible on her cousins stomach. Her face lit up and she pulled away quickly when she was able to feel the kick. "Whoa!" Was all she said as she started laughing. Her eyes stayed fixed on her cousin as she spoke once more. "Ness, why haven't you told the rest of the family?"

Nessie frowned a little bit at her cousin's question.
"I've been wanting to. But I wanna tell them at the right moment, but I can't seem to find it. Journey suggested that I just blurt it out, and I told her that if I try and tell them at what I think is the right moment, and then don't pay attention, then I'll just come out and say it. And since the due date is coming up pretty quickly, I'm really starting to consider just telling them, but I don't want them to get mad at me for having a baby when I look 18 years old." Nessie said as a tear rolled down her cheek.
"And I don't want my dad to get mad at Jacob. My mom already has that one covered... she's had it covered since she found out that he imprinted on me when I was a baby." she continued.
"I just don't know what to do. I'm sure if you noticed that I was pregnant, and if Journey was able to sense the baby enough to turn her powers off, then the rest of the family has figured it out by now, and I just can't figure out what the right thing to do is. I want to tell the family, but I don't want to risk Jacob getting hurt by my parents... even if he is a fast healer." Nessie finished, with more tears rolling down her cheeks.

Emily was somewhat taken back by Nessie's rant about how Edward would be mad a Jacob and what not. "Nothing will happen to Jacob. You know that. Edward won't do anything to him, even if he wants to... but you may wany Jasper around to lighten the mood when you tell your parents especially."

"Yeah that would be an interesting conversation. 'Hey mom, hey dad, I just wanted to tell you that I'm pregnant, and that Uncle Jasper is here to lighten the mood to suppress any urges that either of you might have to go and hurt my husband.' That would go over really well." Nessie said with a small laugh.

Emily laughed when Nessie explained how she thought the conversation should go. "No," She said shaking her head, but still laughing. "I mean just say the first part. The 'Hey mom, hey dad. I'm pregnant.' and then go from there. Nothing will happen to you or Jacob. I mean your married, what did they expect?" It was there that Emily wanted to tell Journey never to allow her to have kids no matter how much she begged and pleaded. And as much as she loved Seth, she decided it just wasn't right and way to much work.
